Air Assault
Also known as TSAAS
Where this one stands
Air Assault prep is on the roadmap and not open yet — but it is the furthest along of the ones still closed, and the reference list below is already real. Every edition on it was checked as current against the Army Publishing Directorate’s index, one distribution-restricted publication was deliberately left out rather than quietly used, and the school’s own handbook was obtained with its permission. What remains is the bank itself and two open questions: how the school weights its written exam, and which student materials the current course issues.
What it will be written against
- • TC 21-24, Tower and Aircraft Rappelling (25 Feb 2025)
- • FM 3-99, Airborne and Air Assault Operations (6 Mar 2015, incorporating Change 1, Sep 2025)
- • TM 4-48.09, Multiservice Helicopter Sling Load: Basic Operations and Equipment (23 Jul 2012)
- • TM 4-48.10 and TM 4-48.11, Multiservice Helicopter Sling Load rigging procedures (5 Jul 2013)
- • ATP 4-02.2, Medical Evacuation (12 Jul 2019)
- • FM 3-04, Army Aviation (27 Mar 2025)
Doctrine changes. Always check the current edition on armypubs before you test.
Common questions
When does Air Assault prep open?
There is no date to announce yet. Nothing ships here until its questions are original, written against the official publications, and cited to them, so there is no bank to show today rather than a thin one written from memory. The source list below is already verified.
What will Air Assault questions be written against?
The verified current editions listed on this page, including TC 21-24 (rappelling), FM 3-99 (airborne and air assault operations), the TM 4-48 sling-load series, ATP 4-02.2 (medical evacuation), and FM 3-04 (Army aviation). Every question will carry its citation.
